How can I best describe our experience of this beach? Smelly? Pongy? Reeking? Whiffy? All of the above. Which is a shame, because the beach itself seemed pleasant enough, with a few bars, beach shops and cafes along its edge. MORE... |

Playa Taurito How can I best describe our experience of this beach? Smelly? Pongy? Reeking? Whiffy? All of the above. Which is a shame, because the beach itself seemed pleasant enough, with a few bars, beach shops and cafes along its edge. The sandy beach offers safe swimming and behind the beach is a large swimming complex, Taurito Lido. I presume the appalling smell was due to the building work going on here [Spring 2007], which exposed sewage drains, but boy, did it make us feel sick. Ugh.
