Road to San Bartholeme We took this shot from high up in the mountains, when our little hire car had done as many hairpin bends as we dared put it through in one go. Interestingly, the road from Playa del Ingles looked relatively straight on the map. It wasn't. It climbed a steep gradient amongst the most spectacular mountains you can imagine, constantly turning back on itself to negotiate the mountainside. As you can see, the view from the tops was well worth it, although San Bartholeme itself was a bit disappointing, from a tourists point of view. It was just an ordinary medium sized town, with not a lot to offer the traveller. Except the views, of course. San Bartholeme de Tirajana - Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain.
