Guide and Virtual Tour of Gran Canaria: Las Palmas Cathedral.
Panorama | Review | Map
Las Palmas is the joint capital city of Gran Canaria and the largest city on the both this island and indeed all of the Canary Islands.
The Santa Ana Cathedral is certainly one of the most important and impressive buildings in the entire city, and has a large open meeting place in front of it. The cathedral is lit up spectacularly during the evening and many local restaurants have excellent views of it to enjoy during your meal.
The city as a whole is certainly also worth exploring, and even if you are staying on the south coast, it is only around a 40 minute drive away. Along the way you will also be able to enjoy the beautiful eastern coast with its small villages and secluded beaches.
