Playa del Ingles is the most popular tourist area on the island and as such has most of the best shopping centres and facilities.
The Tropical Shopping Centre is a firm favourite with visitors to Gran Canaria and is packed with all sorts of different shops including fashion, perfumeries, souvenir stores and plenty of bars and restaurants.
The shopping centre is actually much bigger than it looks from the outside and visitors can happily spend a couple of hours looking around, perhaps sheltering from the hottest part of the day. Right on the seafront, the Tropical is easy to find and within walking distance of many Gran Canaria hotels.
