Chapter 514: Decisive Battle (Part 4)
"By the way, the connections between the several major abysses have become closer recently. Newspaper geek, I'll have to trouble you to run around more. Remember to avoid those people on the set of 'The Whisper in the Dark'. You can't defeat them."
"Okay, then I'll go to the Great Tournament and see if I can recruit some investors."
"Woof woof! (I promise to complete the mission.)"
The call was disconnected, and everyone's attention was focused on the only outlier in the metropolis at that moment.
(The ending of Abyss Five is either that Eternal Night Aurora is defeated and the five-member team becomes the new carrier of Star Color, or that the five-member team is wiped out and becomes Star Color's subordinate along with Eternal Night Aurora.)
(At this time, everyone's configuration is:
Eternal Night Aurora - the queen of media, the center of everyone's attention, and the main carrier of starlight.
Pirate Radio: An intelligence processing center hidden in the dark, responsible for coordinating the actions of the team members.
Gossip: A walking camera that digs up information about potential invaders, that is, non-abyssal creatures and outsiders, and is responsible for interrogation.
Neon Pioneer: Responsible for security work and responding to possible head-on conflicts.
Screening room: Media staff, responsible for editing videos and using various methods to expand the impact of the Eternal Night Aurora.
Newspaper Freak: A messenger of news, a bridge of communication with other abysses, and a part-time flyer distributor when he's free.
Poor Binga had no idea what he was about to face: a container of Starlight and five people who were also infected and became like fanatics, especially since they hadn't seen a "normal" person for a long time.
Gossip had returned to the Metropolis by now. Looking at the brownie lying intact on the table, she smiled with satisfaction at the Neon Pioneer, then sat on the electric chair and began to savor this rare delicacy.
The Neon Vanguard silently took a few steps back and called on the robot guards to strengthen patrols.
"So, what kind of magnificent music would be produced when electricity flows through the body of this flesh-and-blood gentleman? Mr. Band, do you have any opinion?"
The military band leader in charge of the orchestra was stunned for a moment, then expressed his opinion: "I think it's not even one thousandth as good as our Queen."
"By the way, when can we get another person to help compose music? I'm almost too busy to handle it all by myself," the military band complained. "I think Mr. Pioneer Exploration is a great choice."
"You really dare to touch anyone! That person is a follower of the Lord of Disaster. You can save time composing music if you just avoid going to the bar and casino across the street. If you accidentally get photographed by the paparazzi, you can expect to be put in solitary confinement!"
"Step forward." The military band looked at the lightning flashing on the gossip's fingertips with fear.
After making his way through the crowded crowd, Binga finally arrived at the entrance of the metropolis. "Finally, I'm in. Let me see what the hell is going on here."
Just as Binga was about to continue pushing forward, he heard a heavy male voice from behind calling him, "Hey, you, stop pushing. There's still an hour until the Eternal Night Aurora show starts. You can't get in early even if you push."
Turning his head in confusion, Binga saw a burly man covered in neon tubes, who was leading a group of robot security guards to manage the fanatical fan group.
"Tsk, a security captain, what arrogance?" Binga muttered with disdain. "Humph, if we only knew where that Eternal Night Aurora guy was, escaping this noisy crowd would be a piece of cake."
After all, he was a codenamed member of the Black Organization, so Binga's infiltration skills were truly remarkable. He easily weaved through the crowd, walked along the wall to the terrace on the second floor of the Metropolis, and gestured in the direction of Neon Vanguard before turning and leaving.
Neon Pioneer's expression remained unchanged. He just shrugged helplessly and sent a message to his companions.
"Hey, he went in. I was able to control myself and not look at where he was going. I had at least seventeen chances to stop him, and I almost couldn't help but take action three times."
At this moment, he kicked the pile of film aside in the studio's screening room and said, "I'm going to go meet him. I'm going to get mushrooms growing on my head from being here all the time editing videos!"
"Okay, okay, whatever you want." The pirate radio station yawned, approving the action of the cinema.
Binga, who was walking through the empty corridor, felt that it was very strange that there was not even a staff member at this so-called concert. But when he thought about it carefully, the staff here were probably robots that could not respond, so it was normal that this place was deserted.
Just as he was thinking this, a figure suddenly jumped out from the corner in front of him. The man was holding a large box of projector film and walking forward with difficulty.
Binga quickly assessed the situation. The man had a heavy object in his hand and his vision was blocked. He looked like a civilian staff member and was a good target.
After careful consideration, Binga quickly pressed the man to the ground. With a scream, the film scattered all over the floor. Binga carefully looked at the civilian staff member, trying to see if he was hiding any intelligence.
"Who are you? The concert hasn't started yet, why are you here?"
Seeing the obvious panic in the person before him, Binga's mood brightened up for the first time in a long time. "Tell me, where is Eternal Night Aurora? Does she know a way to leave this city?"
"You want to leave this city? It's unbelievable that someone would refuse to watch the Queen's performance!" The man who was pressed under Binga waved his fists with an indignant look on his face.
"Okay, shut up and tell me the information about the Eternal Night Aurora, unless you want me to poke through your eyes, or the camera." Binga increased the strength of his hands, but he felt something was wrong.
Can robots feel pain?
The next second, Binga felt an electric current passing through his hand and throughout his body. Trembling, he unconsciously loosened his hand and just as he was about to step back, he was pressed to the ground by the theater.
"It's not good to be fanatically star-chasing. You will cause trouble to the security personnel. But I still want to thank you for providing new materials for my film editing. The title of the new short video is called...'How to chase stars in a standardized way'. What do you think?" The theater increased the output of electricity while speaking.
The damage caused by the electric current was not great, but it completely prevented Binga from taking any further action. He felt that his nerves and muscles were out of his control and kept shaking. Even his tongue and teeth were trembling slightly, and he couldn't speak a complete sentence at all.
"Okay, screening room, you can hand the people over to Gossip News. Leave this kind of thing to the professionals. Go edit the video quickly." The voice of the pirate radio station came from the communication again.
The theater looked at Binga, whose limbs were twitching on the ground and even foaming at the mouth, and curled his lips in dissatisfaction: "Okay, although I haven't had enough fun, in order to prevent you from scolding me, I will go back to work first."
Gossip quickly arrived at the scene and dragged Binga back to the torture chamber. Having finally found a special little toy, they naturally wouldn't let Binga die so easily. What awaited him was almost endless torture time.
