Chapter 1083 1083: Grey's Domain (3)
Gustav's wings curled forward and stood firmly in front of him as the flames bore on him but could barely hurt him anymore.
The heat from the blazes receded immediately as he pushed through, only to be smashed backward by the lightning that had been curving towards Grey.
The force that the lightning carried was enough to push the demon back to his starting point.
Before he could even unfurl his wings, a wind blade descended upon them.
The strength they carried was enough to split mountains, and that was exactly what they did.
They split Gustav's wings in half, throwing the metal-like pinions to the sides and forcing the demon to scream in pain.
The chains swirling around him burst forward, followed by the thousands of metal spears hovering behind him.
They all bolted towards the Supreme Magus, who didn't look fazed at all.
The air grew heavier as the metal spears burst through the wind and flame zones that tried to take them down.
Now, they were inches away from the warrior mage when the spears suddenly curved away.
Grey hadn't moved, nor did he say anything.
The projectiles suddenly veered off course.
No matter how much Gustav tried, he was unable to regain control as the spears crashed a metre away from the Supreme Magus.
The earth rose in hundreds of chains that lashed forward to collide with Gustav's chains.
The whole domain shook with thunderous force as the metallic links and the earth chains collided mid-air.
The earth element, which was Grey's weakest element and usually would crumble under immense force, actually held against the chains.
The earthen chains pushed the metal chains to the side.
Lightning crackled around Gustav as a huge bolt of lightning surged forward with blazing momentum.
It hadn't gone a few steps when a solid earth wall shifted in place, stopping the lightning bolt immediately.
"Quick history lesson," Grey uttered calmly as the bolt tried ripping through the earth wall but to no avail.
"Lightning is weak against Earth, pops."
From behind him, thousands of lightning bolts screamed forward with breakneck speed.
A metal wall rose up.
It couldn't rise upward as fast as it normally did and was slower than before.
But luckily for the demon, it stood up in time as the lightning bolts crashed into the metal barrier with a loud ringing sound that seemed to ripple across the whole domain, causing it to shake for a few seconds.
The metal wall could be seen cracking as if it was about to shatter at any moment.
Seeing as they were struggling to break through the metal wall, the wind and lightning coalesced together into a razor-sharp crescent blade that launched forward with blazing momentum.
Within a second, it ripped through the metal wall like a hot knife through butter.
Seeing as his wall was giving way, Gustav was ready to teleport when his gaze stretched wide.
'Huh?'
"Were you trying to do this?"
Grey vanished from where he stood after speaking.
The next second, he appeared directly before his father with a massive earth hammer rising out of the ground into his waiting grasp.
Clutching it, he smashed the hammer into Gustav's face with brutal, punishing force, so that the demon was sent sliding uncontrollably backward like an out-of-control vehicle.
Before he could go too far, his chains burst forward and tried lodging into the earth in order to stabilise himself.
The next second, the ground split apart as a massive abyss yawned open with the chains sinking into it.
The earth had vanished from there.
"In this place, your teleportation won't work at all. So you are down to three affinities again."
Gustav's face twisted into a frown as he managed to dig his legs into the ground, stopping himself from skidding too far away.
'Huh?'
The air behind him had suddenly turned white-hot and he immediately spun around to see a dozen embers smashing into his face, sending a searing hot pain coursing through his body immediately.
Blood trailed down his head as he slid backward, only for the sound of lightning crackling behind him to be heard.
He spun around almost immediately to see a hundred lightning spears an inch away from slamming into him.
The ground shifted as a metal wall was seen trying to rise in place, but unfortunately, the heavy pressure in the air slowed it down long enough for the lightning arrows to smash into the demon with thunderous force.
Flexing his body hard with his crimson wing curling forward, he was able to absorb the impact from most of the projectiles.
But the others found their marks as they crashed into his thighs.
And sides, ripping holes through them and causing blood to spray into the air.
"Ah… feels good." Grey uttered as he returned to his previous starting point with a smile on his face upon seeing the demon's side bleeding.
But the next second, the wounds were closing back up at an astonishing rate so that within a blink, he was back to full health.
'Right. Demons can regenerate and self-heal. Damn it!'
Ki wrapped around his sword and lightning wrapped around his body as dozens of earth platforms rose with Grey blurring forward.
Stepping onto one platform, he would appear on the next in a flash of movement.
Gustav gritted his teeth in irritation as lightning arced around his own body and he bolted forward with overwhelming speed.
He couldn't help but notice something.
He was becoming slower than before.
Still fast, but his velocity had decreased somewhat.
He couldn't afford to think of that at this moment as Grey had reached him with a fierce swing of his sword that sent a slash of Ki in the shape of yellow water towards the demon.
His crimson wing beat once and almost immediately, a slash of blood rushed forward, colliding with the water slash.
Gustav's fist crashed through the air, speeding towards the Supreme Magus, only for the strike to veer to the side, missing Grey by a ton of inches.
And from above, an enormous wind blade descended, slamming into the limb with massive force.
A second went by.
Then the blade ripped through the whole arm, causing blood to spray into the air as Gustav staggered backwards with a stunned look.
