Chapter 419 Test
Chapter 419 Test
"Why?" Fenrit asked.
“My intuition tells me so,” Bridal replied.
“My intuition also tells me that we should take the right-hand path!” Fenritter said.
“I also think we should take the left-hand passage,” Dosru said with a serious expression.
“What a coincidence, I agree with Fenritt.” Currydo sided with Fenritt.
“Extraordinary, it’s time to put your sixth sense to use again. Which path do you think we should take?” Bridal presented him with this crucial question.
Everyone looked at him, waiting for his answer. It was clear that they would listen to Chao Bufan if he said just one word. It was a bit like being the center of attention, which was quite interesting.
With a smile, Chao Bufan said something that was sure to shock everyone: "Can you all stop 'looking down on' me? I don't know which path to take, so you guys figure it out yourselves!"
It really is a "hot potato"! Chao Bufan's words shattered their hopes.
“Bu Fan, you’re not kidding us, are you? This is no joke!” Fenrit exclaimed in surprise.
"Do you think I'm joking with you?" Chao Bufan asked with a smile. It wasn't that he was being pretentious; it was simply that he didn't know which path to take. He had tested the two passages with his divine sense, and their structures were exactly the same, like copies.
“No way,” Fenrit shook his head. “Bleedo, you led the way. You brought us here, so you have to get us out safely. Our lives are in your hands now. You decide what to do!”
Bridal felt immense pressure and said with a bitter expression, "It's true that I brought you here, but I didn't say I was going to take you out. Since we don't know which way to go, we can only leave it to fate."
He took out a gold coin and said, "As usual, we'll use this to guide us. Heads to the left, tails to the right. Do you have any objections?"
Dosru was the first to speak, saying, "I have no objection."
“I have no objection either,” Currydo said second.
"Alright, that's the only way," Fenrit said helplessly.
“Not bad, what about you?” Blido asked.
Chao Bufan shrugged, looking indifferent, indicating that he had no objection.
"Alright, let's do it that way."
With that, he flicked his finger upwards, sending the gold coin flying into the air, and then caught it with his hand.
“If it’s the front, then we’ll take the left-hand passage,” Bridal said confidently.
Since it's God's will, we have no choice but to do as He says.
"Extraordinary, you go first!" Bridal handed over this "difficult" task to Extraordinary.
"Why me again?" It wasn't that he didn't want to go first, but he felt that these guys had "ulterior motives."
Sure enough, Bridal chuckled and said, "You're our big brother!"
"Who said the eldest brother should walk in front?" Chao Bufan gave him an "idiot" look.
“Hehe, big brother, you’re better than any of us, and your reactions are faster too, so of course you’ll go first,” Fenrit chuckled, his words implying, “If you don’t go to hell, who will?”
Chao Bufan revealed his signature "smile that could conquer the city" smile, instantly exposing his two rows of neat, white teeth. He laughed and said, "Hey you guys, why do you always call me 'big brother' when it comes to a critical moment? I've never heard you call me that before."
“Um—Big brother, don’t you think it would be more intimate for us to call you by your first name?” Fenrit said with a smile, then winked at Bridal.
Bridal understood and quickly chimed in, "Exactly, only those with no taste would call someone that. What do you think, Bridal?"
"Oh," Chao Bufan said with a hint of interest, "So, according to you guys, I'm the one who's not smart?"
"Haa—" Bridal chuckled, patting Super Extraordinary on the shoulder and saying, "Super Extraordinary, I didn't say that!"
“I never even thought about it,” Fenrit said casually.
“I don’t even know what ‘lacking in common sense’ means,” Dosru said, shrugging and tilting his head.
These guys, their acting, one singing and the other harmonizing, is perfectly coordinated, a flawless performance.
Chao Bufan feigned a sigh and said, "Alas, since you've all said that, what else can I say? Oh well, it's my fault for being too soft-hearted and falling for your tricks!"
With that, he unleashed his inner energy and swaggered into the passage on the left.
Without hesitation, Bridal and the others took out their magic wands, gave them a slight shake, and the magic stone lit up. They then followed.
After walking for a long time, they were still wandering in this crooked and narrow passage, and the group couldn't help but have some doubts.
“Bufan, have we gone the wrong way? We’ve been walking for so long, and we’re still in this narrow passage. I don’t remember this passage being this long,” Bridal asked, puzzled.
"How would I know?" Chao Bufan said calmly. "It's destiny. Even if we know it's wrong, we have to grit our teeth and keep going. What do you say, Bulido?" Actually, he was quite confused as well. This passage was indeed not the one they had taken before, but even if they took another one, the result would be the same. It was a bit like being "stuck in a maze." Fortunately, they hadn't encountered any danger along the way, not even any warning signs.
Bridal was speechless for a moment, after all, making such a choice was his own decision.
Chao Bufan glanced back at them and laughed, "Alright, since we've chosen this path, let's keep going! At worst, we'll walk until the end of time, and eventually we'll find our way out."
“Unexpected, I have a feeling something’s off. How about we turn back and take the other route?” Fenrit, the observant one, seemed to have noticed something and shuddered as he spoke.
“It’s no use,” Chao Bufan shook his head and said, “Even if we take the other route, the result will be the same, so let’s not waste our time.”
"Why?" Dosru asked.
Chao Bufan smiled and said, "If I'm not mistaken, this must be the work of Professor Kressdorf and his group."
"Uh!" Bridal and the others exclaimed in surprise. Curry asked, "What do you mean?"
"You didn't even notice?" Chao Bufan was slightly surprised. "They were clearly testing us."
“You know what, what Bu Fan said makes some sense. Otherwise, how could there be two identical exits?” Fenrit was the first to react.
Once the explanation was given, the others understood. After a moment of contemplation, Bridal said, "No wonder I couldn't find a clue even with my photographic memory. It seems we're in for a rough time."
